New Capabilities
Elements Version 9.1 has new capabilities that extend existing capabilities.
- Faster floating-point operations.
- More mathematical special functions.
- Better rendering of self-intersecting surfaces.
- More plot types that include xy, xyz, log, loglog, scatter, polar, pie, bar, and ribbon plots.
- One-point (initial-value) geodesic computation.
- Unified manifold and geodesic dialog box that allows the user to set many graph properties.
- Elements' document has no size limit other than total computer virtual memory.
- Elements' document is an ActiveX container client that allows insertion of components from other programs, such as EleRender, ElePlot, and Equation Editor.
- Multiple documents types besides the Elements' document.
EleScript and EleData are text files of user-written scripts and data respectively.
EleWorkspace collects other documents into a workspace for simultaneous opening and saving.
- Better dialog boxes including an improved way to set options.
- An install-uninstall setup program that is Windows 95/98 compliant.
- More efficient memory management using reference counting.
- Send Elements documents by email.
